About the artwork

Outhouse sculptures are all original, hand-built, one-of-a-kind works of art signed by the artist. Each outhouse is customized with miniature framed portraits of the owners. All the wood used in the assembly comes from driftwood collected on the shores of Martha's Vineyard. 

Custom orders welcome. 

Choices include:

One seater and 2 seater outhouses.

Single story and 2-story outhouses. 
All pieces come with a wall hanging hook on back of outhouse to hang on wall

A vent Pipe

A hinged working door with quarter Moon cut out on the door
Door all an interior hook and eye and an exterior wooden latch

Tin flashing roof or bark shingled roof

The words “Ma” and “Pa” handwritten above each seat

Privy seat have hinged wooden seat lids
Skylight opening
A side hole saying “peephole”

Accessories include: 

Framed photos hung inside the outhouse which can include the owner's choice of photo

A basket filled with "Cleansing" corn-cobs

A miniature coffee can with a miniature roll of toilet paper
A Sears catalog - ripped for TP or Old Newspapers/Mail order catalogs i.e. Montgomery Ward 

A basket of pom apples to keep the spiders away. 

A "Privy" or "Comfort Station" sign

A "Private" sign

A "Time Limit 1 Hour" sign

A wooden outside door latch

A wire hook inside for the inside door latch

A mini flashlight with a metal ring on a nail
